BOBA FETT

This was first modelled in Fusion 360. It was then cut up into 12 sections for ease of 3D printing, then it was printed on my CR-10s FDM printer. Each part was then sanded and filled using knifing putty before attatching all the pieces together. It was then sprayed with filler primer, to remove more layer lines. Then I spent time applying masking fluid to the areas that would have been stripped down to the smooth metal. Around these areas I worked on achieving a mottled texture where the paint would have been damaged and corroded. The helmet was then sealed with a matte varnish before weathering with black and burnt umber oil paints. Then the face shield was made using a welding visor which was cut on a band saw.
